I don't live in Jacksonville, but saw a menu item they had posted that I knew I had to try out, so I drove over from Elkhart after work today and it was well worth the drive. I got the Torta Ahogada and it sure was a delicious sandwich! If you like spicy food I definitely recommend this dish! It definitely has some kick to it! I substituted beef for the carnitas and pico for the lettuce and tomatoes and it's one of the best tortas I've ever had. It is also served with avacado slices but I had already eaten them before I took the photo. I also ordered the quesabrosas because I figured if I'm already making the drive I might as well try two menu items out. I got this to heat up for dinner tomorrow. I did take a bite of it tonight and it was really delicious! I ordered my food to go and they packaged it up neatly for me and had my food ready in a timely manner. I'm not sure when I'll be back, since I live almost about 45 minutes away, but it will definitely be soon! The food was delicious. The service was very friendly and accomodating. And the prices were very affordable!

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in town. Salsa and chips are amazing. We usually get the sopes, enchiladas, tacos, or breakfast tacos. All are delicious and everything is well plated. A few Fridays ago, I got the fried fish and it was so good. The cornmeal crust tastes like it has lime in it and it's wonderful. Nice big pieces of fish, too. I'll definitely order this again. There are many vegetarian and gluten free options available, too. Go for the sope sencillo or you can get the enchiladas filled with beans. I tell everyone about Cosina!

Authentic. The bistec (steak) burrito was perfect. I added diced pepper (jalapeno I think, maybe it was serrano..?) FYI: No alcohol is available. The staff is very friendly.

A remarkably great locally owned Mexican cafe. Has it all - people, service, menu, ambiance. Great food, affordable, family - we live in the Rio Grande Valley & this is a bit of the best of home.

I visit here a few times a week. This is One of the best and one of the only authentic Mexican Food places in Jacksonville for anyone. Don't get fooled onto thinking any "Rancho" anything is authentic, this is it. Great portions, probably the best prices in East Texas, and great staff.

The best Mexican food in East Texas. I can't say enough about how good the food is and I am admittedly a Mexican food snob.
